Recent repairs/maintenance:
New transmission cooler lines
Fresh oil change (high zinc)
Head gaskets replaced
All new cooling system including brand new water pump (runs ice cold)
New front radius arm bushings
Brake flush
New steering damper
New ABS sensor seal and axle ball cap gasket
New sunroof seal
New A/C compressor
New front sway bar links and bushings
New fuel filter
New engine mount
All new drive belts
New oil pan gasket
New optima red top battery
Quirks:
ABS pump makes a loud buzzing noise when cold. Undiagnosed.
A/C only works on highest setting (blower resistor needs to be replaced. $80 part)
TF springs are long travel, great for off-road articulation, but expect some body roll on the freeway. Easily remedied with stiffer spring (recommend Old Man Emu Heavy-Duty)
Tach recently stopped working. Likely a loose wire or dirty ground, haven't looked into it yet.
Front tires rub at full lock.
It's a 30 year old British truck, so expect some imperfections, squeaks, creaks and groans.
$15k or your Toyota FZJ80 of equal value.
