Used VW Vanagon - cars & trucks - by owner - vehicle automotive sale for sale in Watsonville, CA

1985 VW Vanagon, 158k miles, clean California title (currently on Non-Op with DMV, NO BACK FEES OWED). Van was parked for about 15 years in So Cal. I have worked on it off and on for the last 2 years. Engine runs good and has an average 130 psi compression on all cylinders.

The following have been replaced (NEW): Brake Master Cylinder, front brake calipers, rear brake wheel cylinders, rear brake drums, rear brake shoes with hardware kit, LED side markers, muffler and muffler tip, rear view mirror, tires, lug nuts and studs, bumper-end caps, fuel filter, wiper blades, water pump, rear main seal, and oil and oil filter.

The van's original color is white, the body is straight and does not have dents or body filler. The body does have surface rust (no holes). I coated the body with grey Zero Rust protectant to prevent further rust (the right front looks different because of the sun glare). Van runs good but needs the clutch master cylinder and clutch slave cylinder (recently diagnosed). The van has all original seats that include a working Z-Bed. The van has an aftermarket BEHR Air Conditioning system (Not working). The van has a toasted dashboard (can be replaced or covered with a dash cover). I upgraded wheels to used Carat Alloy Wheels. Fuel gauge is inoperative. Power steering pump belt not installed. All lights are working.

I cannot continue with the project as my wife has made me choose between this van and another project I have. This will make a great project or daily driver for someone looking for an inexpensive Vanagon. This van is a clean canvas to build your dream vanagon.

I can include a running (good engine, transmission, and full weekender interior) 1989 VW Vanagon Bluestar, salvage California title, no back fees owed, two running vanagons for $8,000.00 FIRM. The Bluestar is not for sale by itself. I will post the Bluestar for sale once the grey vanagon sells.
