Vehicle Description
The body has about 125k on it. The engine has 15k on it. With the diesel conversion in the summer around town it gets about 29mpg and highway is 26mpg. This drops a hair in the winter.
The van was a “Country Home” conversion originally in Blue. I did the bedliner paint in Green and did a Westfilia top conversion. The top has 4 struts so you can put a pretty heavy load up there.
The van does have some minor rust in the normal spots but nothing terrible, no frame rot or holes. To be honest it’s the only part that has not been re-done.
The basics:
Engine is 2012 2.0 CR Passat TDI Boxeer Conversion. Engine Code is CJAA. The engine had 0 miles when the conversion was complete. It’s about 180hp and goes an easy 75 on the highway.
The transmission was completely re-done by Matt Steedle to include a taller 4th and better spacing between gears for east coast traffic. You can do 15mph in 1st, 25mph in second, 45 in 3rd and 75 comfortably in 4th. The transmission also has a Torque based differential.
