MECHANICS SPECIAL!! Please read the entire description, as this is not a vehicle that will leave here with any guarantees or safety/emission stickers. We took possession of this low mileage Benz from a client who couldn't pay the invoice from work he authorized us to complete. After almost 2 years, a mutual agreement lead to us taking title of the car. First the bad: It does start, run and drive well enough to get it home but it will need a major rehab in order to bring it back to its former vehicular glory. There is a lot of floor rust, flaking paint, dirty and cracked interior and a general need for a cosmetic overhaul. It did have a few panels repainted at some point due to an accident which precipitated a reconstructed title. I don't see any visible signs of damage or anything unsafe (other than the floor rust) however. The battery won't take a charge and a few of the tires are not in good condition.The Good: It does start, run and drive well enough but it's far from a sunday cruiser until everything is gone over. Prior to us taking possession, we had just finished a solid tune up and complete brake system overhaul, with fresh pads, rotors and calipers. The bottom line is this would make an extensive winter project or provide someone with a ton of good parts for their SL. Serious inquiries only please! Delivery is possible for a cost.
