Vehicle Description
Only 312 were imported to the USA for model year 2004. Incredible acceleration coupled with Mercedes suspension and chassis. Curb weight 3,220 lbs and 349 hp gives the car 9.2 lbs per hp. Definitely a drivers car built for the autobahn.
R170 chassis Mercedes have a few common issues that have all been resolved proactively on this car. I know this isn't the cheapest car you'll find, but failures on these cars can equate to BIG money. You're buying something you can immediately enjoy.
Hardtop convertible system has had its rams/cylinders overhauled and I have the receipts for the work. System works perfectly with zero leaks or squeaks. If you buy a cheaper car and this problem develops it can cost $5,000-$6,000 to repair.
Extremely well cared for interior and exterior. Interior components have all been recoated to prevent peal/chip (another common failure that destroys Mercedes interiors).
ETS yaw sensor (P/N 0035422318) replaced. Just Google this failure. It's something that plagued SLK and ML Mercedes of this generation. This is a critical replacement and being proactive means no chance of accidental ETS event.
All electrical systems work perfectly. Litronic xenon headlamps (no yellowing), heated seats, cruise control, ABS, CD Changer, etc. No gremlins.
18" staggered 2-piece AMG wheels with polished rims and iridium silver painted centers. Michelin Pilot Sport AS4 tires installed with < 2k miles. I have the original 17" staggered AMG rims that I'll include for an extra $700.
New brake pads all around.
