Used Nissan Quest 1995 for sale in Ferndale, WA
Vehicle Description
Mileage: Unknown, the odometer stopped working. Probably around 220,000, but we put a 2nd motor inside about a decade ago. Now for the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.
Good:
-Runs fine, has been my daily transportation to work until last week, when I started using my new vehicle.
-Maintenance records available, i.e. just replaced the starter last week. (Had been driving it daily to work, until the starter failed, now I'm taking the new rig.)
-Tires fine.
-Spacious, with removable bench seat in the back if you want to haul things or camp.
-Sound system fine.
-New starter installed last week.
-Second motor inside.
-Basic maintenance and oil change just happened, so new air filter was installed, battery, antifreeze, washer fluids are good, etc.
-Brakes, steering, suspension good.
-Cruise control.
Bad:
-When I got this rig, I observed that Consumer Reports thought the electrical systems aren't as reliable as other models of this era, and they were right. Minor things: Passenger window won't go down with the switch in that door. Intermittent wipers don't work (now it's either on or off).
-Key broken off in passenger door, so, the driver must unlock the car.
-Don't open the middle left window, the connection is unstable.
-Rear shock bushings are cracked., replacement recommended.
-Valve cover gaskets are leaking.
-Oil leak at rear main seal.
-Front axle boots are torn, replacement recommended.
-Flip down the handle before closing the rear hatch door.
Ugly:
-Rust spots.
-Left turn signal housing exterior is broken, but it works.
-Front window has crack.
-Some high school students pried the logo off of the back hatch door.
