Vehicle Description
This is a 1997 Volvo 850 Turbo. Car has been well maintained and drives very well despite some bumps and bruises. 151,XXX on the vehicle, front end was refreshed at 125,000 with bilstein struts, new OEM control arms and links. PCV system was serviced at 125,000 miles as well as a new timing belt, tensioners and thermostat at 136,000. Brakes have been done in the last 10,000 miles as well as a coolant flush and ABS module replacement at around 120k. Automatic transmission has also been drained and filled every other oil change (5k synth intervals) for the last 50k.
Included in the sale is a tuned ECU providing a boost in turbo pressure, providing an extra 30 or so HP. Increasing the power to rough estimate of 250hp/ 260 lb/ft torque. Enough to be fun but not compromise the reliability of the engine. Also has an aftermarket strut stabilizer. This is a fun car to drive, surprisingly quick and unassuming. Nobody expects a volvo to be this quick. Handles and rides very well. Honstly, I wouldn't sell it, but at this point I have too many damn cars. Speakers sound very good with aftermarket kenwood head unit.
Wheels are rare 5 spoke 850 R wheels. Good looking if I do say so myself.
Seats are comfortable but worn. I usually keep them covered but uncovered them for transparency sake. The headliner is sagging in he back seat and the rear right door got dinged before I owned it and you gotta pull it a little harder to open it. Paint is fading on the top surfaces but could probably be refreshed with a good buff. Tires are driveable and will last another year or so. Small oil leak at the high pressure oil lines. Nothing catastrophic but something to be aware of.
Other than that, car runs well and is in good shape, AC blows cold, heat works well. Included in the sale are stock and tuned ECUs, OEM volvo racks and 5 or 6 mann oil filters. Please reach out with any questions. I'll be happy to answer them.
