From the owner:
My name is Clinton (Clint) Burdette and I am the owner of the 1969 XKE ID CC1296393.
Background info: I've owned the car since Sept. 1970 when I purchased it from Sunnyvale BMC dealer as a demonstrator at which time it had 328 miles on the odometer. It was my daily driver for a couple of years after which I purchased something a little less eye-catching for the local police. I have driven it, loved it, and have kept under car covers, in garages, and even storage units. Everything (even the paint) is original except the interior which was changed from black to biscuit to keep it cooler in the summer with the top down. All numbers for chassis, transmission, engine match and I'm awaiting my Jaguar Heritage Cert. and have applied for Calif. Historical Vehicle license plates. I had not driven it for some time and I felt it needed a though refurb and having seen a Jay Leno's Garage program about XK's Unlimited restoration of one his Jag's I felt that would be the place for my refurb. I wasn't looking to make it a "Concours" car just to make it look like new and drive like new, which they did.
